Introducing MOHI Ranch

It's a Winery. It's a Farm. It's MOHI Ranch.

After its evolution from Sycamore Creek Vineyards to MOHI Wine, this popular winery and event center has officially been rebranded to MOHI Ranch. Part of the Leal Hospitality portfolio, this incredible venue is home to much more than vineyard rows and wedding-scapes.

Perched in the Uvas Valley of southwest Morgan Hill, the site was originally established as the Marchetti Ranch in the early 20th century. The property was transformed into an award-winning winery under Bill and Carolyn Holt from 2005, and further enhanced in 2015 when Frank Léal incorporated it into the Léal Hospitality portfolio as Sycamore Creek Winery. Inspired by the land and beautiful setting, Léal developed a robust private event venue program for weddings and other special occasions. Eventually the winery name was shifted to MOHI Wine, to better reflect these dynamic guest experiences.

As the Léal portfolio grew with the opening of the temporary MOHI Social restaurant and the downtown MOHI Farm restaurant in 2023, a natural progression of the MOHI Wine property emerged. Leaning into the farm-to-table philosophy and an interest in sustainably supplying the portfolio’s vast food service needs, the Ranch began planting their own produce.

Transforming a former vineyard plot of about one-acre, the team planted crops of cabbage, broccolini, and greens to enrich both the land and community. The Ranch also houses a flock of chickens, producing thousands of eggs that land on the brunch-plates of downtown diners. MOHI Ranch goods are incorporated into the menus at MOHI Farm restaurant, the Granada Theater dinner shows, and catered events at the Willow Heights Mansion. The Ranch will also supply the portfolio’s boutique Hotel MOHI, set to open in 2025.

While the farm is being further established, MOHI Ranch continues wine growing, producing, and tasting operations. Initially known for Zinfandel and Carignane, the winery's reputation grew under the Holts to include Viognier, Chardonnay, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and bold Bordeaux-style blends. Today they continue to produce unique, hand-crafted wines that you can enjoy in the outdoor patio area under the olive trees. You find offerings of select wine-by-the-glass or bottle, flatbreads, and a charcuterie board for purchase.

MOHI Ranch has also held unique events that invite the public to embrace the farm-to-fork lifestyle, including the Farm to Fire culinary experience, a Farm Fit Fest, and Night Markets. Keep an eye out for new, upcoming events by signing up for announcements here.

Speaking of events, MOHI Ranch’s stunning indoor space is stacked with twinkle-light adorned barrels and roll up doors, making it the perfect setting for a variety of private, social and professional gatherings. The meticulously arranged patio features illuminated olive trees, high top seating for sipping, a trickling fountain, an outdoor pizza oven, and misters for those hot valley days. This venue also has a dreamy, lush wedding ceremony site, surrounded by vineyard vines.

At every turn is an insta-worthy photo opp, such as the olive tree “tunnel” creating the perfect backdrop for glammed up brides, or the giant iron letters spelling out “LOVE” under a striking oak tree. On top of being a visually breathtaking venue, MOHI Ranch is a stand-out at crafting experiences. Their concept is built on fostering connections, whether it's between locally-sourced ingredients and the community or the bond between loved ones celebrating life's special moments.

MOHI Ranch invites you to experience the magic where freshness inspires festivities! Check out this amazing venue that embodies the true meaning of knowing where your food comes from.
